Yesterday I spotted the very first California Poppy of the season and had to get down to the dirt to capture it from its own level and perspective. I would have liked to yell that 'Spring is here!' but that would be like yelling 'Fire!' in a movie theater even though there is no fire. Dang! ... that is really a bad analogy.... nevermind! *** I'll work on that for a later posting, in a meanwhile: Have a Safe and Happy Tuesday! [Posting early and going to bed.... good nite!]

That sums up the recent rain-soaked days - we haven't been able to get out to 'mingle' with the backyard critters.

Update: This is Elli holding still (even if she needed a little aiding) ... perhaps you can see the knuckles of the hand on the lower right in the reflection against the lighter colored backyard - I was helping her hold her muzzle still for the shot. :D Camera was on a tripod.

Update: This seagull was sitting on the dock near the Ferry Building in San Francisco when I 'captured' it. In the background you can see lights from Alameda below the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. I have darkened the photo just a bit so that the color of the sky is more vibrant.
